A community hub
It started as a desire for a new hockey rink. It grew into so much more.
With a multi-sport field house, a daycare, event hall, medical and dental clinic, fitness center, and new administrative and council offices, the Thunderchild First Nation Health and Wellness Center is a one-stop shop for the community.
Contextually Designed
Taking cues from the mythical Thunderbird, the TCFN Health & Wellness Center was designed to mimic the bird taking flight.
It is hoped that, with so much opportunity within the facility, the Nation can take advantage of opportunities to fill it with what’s significant to them, making it a true monument to the community and its heritage.
